From R875 per month, this is a hospital plan for people who are demanding in their choices. With up to R1 million in hospital cover that goes UNLIMITED in case of emergencies, this is the type of assurance that makes you feel perfectly safe. It covers up to 100% Medicine Price List, PMB Chronic conditions from Medi-Rite pharmacies and subject to a restrictive formulary.

Plus you still get all your unique benefits like post-hospitalisation treatment and medications,  MRI and CT scans paid from risk and more. 

MAXIMA CORE

Go for the best even if you just need basic cover with this plan that provides unlimited private hospitalisation.

A Hospital Plan will cover you should anything dire happen because treatment of even a couple of broken bones can easily run into tens of thousands of rand and you don’t want to ask the ambulance to take you to a state hospital. MAXIMA BASIS

A little more than basic, with full hospital cover plus a small amount of day-to-day benefits.

You’ve got the money and you’re using it well with a plan like this. From only R1 445 per month you get unlimited private hospital cover at three times the medical aid rate; no prescribed hospital lists and a small amount of day-to-day cover (from R2 220 for a single member per year) plus a host of unique benefits like  oral contraceptives paid from risk and interest free loans for cosmetic surgery like breast enhancements or reductions. 

MAXIMA STANDARD 

The most popular in our range, this plan offers you the best of both, unlimited private hospitalisation and a good level of day-to-day cover. 

From only R1 785 per month you get unlimited private hospital cover at 200% of the Fedhealth Rate; no prescribed hospital lists and a generous amount of day-to-day cover (from R5 000 for a single member per year) plus a host of unique benefits like child rates for financially dependent children up to the age of 27; oral contraceptives paid from risk and trauma treatment from risk for those unpredictable growing up years. 

MAXIMA EXEC

A premium package designed for the type of person who relies completely on their medical aid to take care of them and their family. 

Designed for the type of person who relies completely on their medical aid to take care of them and their family, Maxima Exec is one of our premium packages. Covering medical aid rates at a massive 200% and carries an extensive 51 chronic conditions cover, this plan is a must for those who know exactly what they want out of their medical aid. An extremely substantial OHEB benefit also means that you can turn to your medical for those day-to-day medical expenses. This cover also includes all Fedhealth’s unique benefits. From R2 130 per month.

MAXIMA PLUS

Great for those who need to rely a bit more heavily on their medical aid. 

From R3 550 per month you can also consider a plan that gives you even more day-to-day cover and out-of-hospital benefits like Maxima Plus. From only R4 850 per month and you get this comprehensive option for older people needing maximum cover. This option includes unlimited private hospital cover at three times the medical aid rate; no prescribed hospital lists and a generous amount of day-to-day cover (from R5 675 for a single member per year); generous chronic medicine limits without any DSP restrictions and a host of unique benefits like child rates for financially dependent children up to the age of 27; a trauma counselling benefit and post-hospitalisation treatment paid from risk for 30 days after discharge from hospital.

Ultima 300 — the plan that understands your needs

The plan that understands your needs and affordability with good chronic cover and day-to-day benefits as well as unlimited private hospitalisation.

From only R3 365 per month you get to enjoy unlimited private hospital cover at three times the medical aid rate; no prescribed hospital lists and a generous amount of day-to-day cover (from R4 187 for a single member per year); generous chronic medicine limits without any DSP restrictions and a host of unique benefits like child rates for financially dependent children up to the age of 27; a trauma counselling benefit and post-hospitalisation treatment paid from risk for 30 days after discharge from hospital. 

Ultima 200 — not just your basic hospital plan

Not just your basic hospital plan, this option is design to cater for the needs of people who need a little more.

Available from only R1 545 per month for a comprehensive hospital benefit at 200% of the Fedhealth Rate; no prescribed hospital lists, a small amount of day-to-day cover and a host of unique benefits.

Child Rates until 27yrs
Single students stay your dependants at rates applicable to children.
Must be unmarried, students and not earning more than the maximum social pension.

No underwriting required for former child dependants who are at an age and status to afford their own medical aid.

Get an option with a higher benefit limit if you or your dependant is diagnosed with a chronic condition.

Oral Contraception Pill on the house
Unlimited oral contraception paid from In-Hospital benefit without using your day-to-day (OHEB and Savings).
Must be prescribed by GP or Gynaecologist.
Not applicable to Pills prescribed for Acne.

Professional and extreme sports cover
We cover injuries sustained during sporting activities within the benefits and rules of the scheme, provided the treatment is received in South Africa.

We get your MRI and CT Scans too
Whether performed as an in or out-patient procedure, it comes from the In-Hospital Benefit without touching your day-to-day (OHEB and Savings).

We've got your post-hospital medication covered
Fedhealth covers 7 days' worth of TTO's (take home medication) from the In-Hospital Benefit. The medication must both be dispensed by the hospital and reflect on the original hospital account, the same prescription dispensed by a pharmacy will be paid from your day-to-day benefits (OHEB and Savings) and not from risk.

Kids under 8 score with in-hospital dentistry
We cover the hospital and anaesthetist costs from the In-Hospital Benefit while the dentist's account comes from day-to-day benefits (OHEB and Savings).
The Authorisation Centre must be contacted at least 48 hours before the procedure. Authorisation will be granted provided that no dental authorisation was granted for the same child within at least six months of the required admission date. 

Emergency treatment in casualty wards
Treatment received in a casualty ward for trauma, as well as any other treatment in a casualty ward immediately followed by a hospital admission, is covered from the In-Hospital Benefit

Trauma is defined as a physical injury to the body by an external force which requires immediate attention, for example, stitches. The Authorisation Centre must be notified within 24 hours or the next working day. General radiology will also be paid from the In-Hospital Benefit if it is part of the treatment in the casualty ward.
